Window not showing up on exterior Wall in plan view

I am working on a plan that has stone/siding exterior walls. Stone 36" up and then switches to Siding. Fairly common. However, when I am putting in short windows that do not go down into the stone wall, like a 2030 in a bathroom, the window does not show up in the plan view. If I click on it, it is there, but otherwise you wouldn't know it. Also, the auto exterior dimensions won't snap to it either. I can click the wall and select show upper wall in plan and then it shows up, however, this messes up my exterior dimensions that I need for my stone/brick ledge.

I am sure I am missing some setting. I have had this problem before, but not sure I ever found a good workaround besides drawing in a polyline solid of where the window should be and adding my own label so that it looks right in the plan view. Seems like by X5 there would be a fix.

Thank you all in advance for your superior knowledge.

I do not seem to be having a problem with this.

Can you post the plan you are working on?

    Andy.
