Fill Style - Timber end grain
Does anyone have access to timer end grain fill. I generally use the 'cross box' method, but like to end grain that indicate to tree growth rings. Probably perdantic, but hopefully that indicates I am good at what I do.

Sorry I need to clarify a little more. Firstly I use X5.
I understand the option of custom fill under the fill style option. Here Chief offers patterns called 'Wood A', Wood B', 'C', 'D' & 'E', but those pattern are 'along the grain' patterns whereas I want 'cross grain' or 'end grain' views.
Is it possible to create my own patterns, under the *.PAT format? That way I can create an end grain pattern fill.

robwhite, I always thought there was something similar to what you are looking for in the acad.pat file that ships with ACAD...kind of like a series of wavy lines longitudinallly.
It doesn't seem to be here but maybe my old version here doesn't have it, I'll have another look tomorrow at work on newer versions.
Normally, for detailing I just use 'cross box' for end grain.Dave

Rob,
Here is an end grain hatch attached.
But,..I think you will have trouble using such a hatch pattern.
Hatch patterns are repeating patterns.
Although you can scale the hatch for individual instances, I don't think you can change the origin of the hatch in the correct position for multiple instances.
Have a play.Glenn
