Jecky camera
Hi..
I'm a long time user of Chief. And rarely on this forum..However, I need help. I'm using x2 that I had to reload last month because of a major crash . Most everything is back to normal except when I use Full Camera for showing clients around a room such as a kitchen ,the camera moves are jecky and all over the place, not smooth like when I do a Orthograghic Overview..
Because I had to reload CA..do I have all the updates???
All the settings seem OK
Thanks
RCarter

Because you had a major crash, it seems to me your system might be the problem. What are you computer Spec's?

THe first thing I would do is make sure that the drivers for your video card are installed.

"Because I had to reload CA..do I have all the updates???"
No one here can answer that but you should be able to figure this out easy enough. Just run the program and use the "Download Program Updates" tool under the Help menu.
If you continue to have problems after making sure you have the latest update, I would recommend that you contact tech support.Dermot Dempsey

Dermot,
Does one have to have current SSA to be able to download updates even for older versions?

You do not need a current SSA account to get updates for older versions. Updates are still available for all older products going back as far as Version 7. You should be able to access them through your program or directly through our web site using this link:

If you have any other questions or problems related to the updates, please contact our tech support team.Dermot Dempsey

Hi Dermot, thanks for getting back so quickly!
I tried updating by clicking on the help tab and clicking download updates. Got the following message: C:\p4sync\dev\releases\14\chief\source\FrameWind.c pp(1149): Warning #272030035
"Cannot connect to the Internet. Make sure you have a default Internet browser installed and that you are able to access the Internet through it."

Build: 14.3.2.2x64
Attempting to access the internet through the program gets the same message.
I use Google Chrome as my default browser and checked to make sure it was set as the default browser and it is. Still not working. Using Windows 8. Any ideas?

That's the type of question that is usually best handled by tech support. Since you don't have SSA, then you can always try to search our online help database.
If you did, then you would find this article:

If this doesn't help solve your problem, then I would certainly recommend that you contact tech support and seriously consider renewing your SSA.Dermot Dempsey

LOLOL - Clearly I did not find that. And clearly I've made a mess of things using Windows 8 and Google. Thanks Dermot!
