Editing Individual Deck Rail Components

Looking to move, change type, and location of deck rail components...is this possible? Dug a little and found that walls amongst other objects are not "architectural blocks" so they can not be exploded...suggestions?

There may be something in the library that suite your needs if not you can make your own in chief or sketch up and import as a symbol

You can also make a railing using a molding p-line adding several moldings at different levels. There are several videos at chieftutor.com on this.
