    Polyline question

When drawing a "box" polyline in the cad mode I cannot break it if it is in plan view, but if it is in cross section view it will. What gives with this? Is there a reason for not breaking a ployline in plan? You can break a cad line in plan but not a box.

I think it's always been that way with a "box".

    I don't think I understand the question/comments.

As far as I can tell, a CAD Box can't ever be "broken" (using either the Break Line tool or Edit Polyline Parts) regardless of what view it was drawn in.

A Standard Polyline, drawn using the Rectangular Polyline tool, should be able to be broken regardless of what view it was drawn in.

    Am I missing something?

I have never used the "cad box" tool. I haven't seen a use for it.

To clear things up. The box I was referring to was the rectangle one at the top of the pull down menu. It appears that you need the "snap points" "center" selected or you will have a hard time selecting. On a side note, how do I get the cad box/rectangle to show temporary dimensions? I noticed in one of the video's the dimension would show when the cad object was selected. I went into the default and checked temporary dimension for cad objects but I do not see them.
