Following Scotts pre-dawn user meeting (I did not attend), there was talk of "Dorothy's method" of changing wall definition line styles. "Dorothy's method" is really nothing extraordinary; It simply references the way she sets up her walls to show in plan view. Playing with those settings would have possibly resulted in what you had. So, the timing of your question led me to guess the connection, that is all.

Ok, this zip file (X5) contains the answer to the puzzle.
You don't have to open it if you still want to figure it out on your own.
Happy Holidays.

Thanks Dave, but to be blunt, this is pretty useless for me because it depends on defining the wall line colors per wall type AND NOT BY LAYER. Since I control my wall line colors via the layer, I can never use this if I wanted to. What is interesting is the BREAK/JAMBS or whatever you want to call it, is controlled by the layer, but the rest of the wall line style/color is predefined per the particular wall.
As a side note, I am not sure if this is one of YOUR standard walls, but if it is, you do understand that you are not able to control the different line wts and colors by layer............... you have them fixed............ I believe this is correct............... you might consider allowing the layer to define the wall line colors, style and line wt.
Anyway, I am babbling on as usual.............. please ignore my blather.D. Scott Hall (The Bridge Troll)

Scott, this was just a puzzle brought about by a question. You know how it goes.
There is probably no practical use for this in real work, which is what I stated above. It was just for fun. You know, like getting wooped at golf!!Kind Regards,

Hey Dave, there will come a day in the distant future where I will be victorious on the golf course against Joe Carrick. Joe is aging quite rapidly, and I predict within the next 25 years I will be beating him. I got to say I am still having a hard time out driving him, this guy is a 167 years old and he still drives it about 225 yards.............. and he is using equipment that is older than he is. I have this hi-tech Nike driver, you know the kind that Tiger uses, and the sob still out drives me 80% of the time. But yesterday he wasn't having one of his better days............ and I did enjoy watching him struggle............. but of course he still beat me.D. Scott Hall (The Bridge Troll)
