Polyline solid tip for elevations
Some people are finding that trying to place a polyline solid in an elevation isn't doing right if you place a cad box and then convert it to a polyline solid. They're finding that it doesn't display right in plan and 3d views, and they have to copy it to the correct floor. Copying it to the correct floor is the correct workaround to make it work doing it that way. The best way to do it without any workarounds is to do it like this; Take an elevation view. When the elevation view is open, you'll see a "Primitive Tools" parent tool. Click on that and you'll see a polyline solid tool show up as a child tool. Select that polyline solid and then draw it where you want on any floor in the elevation. Doing it this way will ensure that it will display correct in plan view, elevations and renders the first time. No copying to a different floor needed.

Hey Tommy,
is that an X5 exclusive? Also, having and paying for SSA, how much am I missing by delaying my transition from x4 to x5 (other than having to buy a new dongle, a paper reference manual and the usual migration of libraries etc)? Have a great Christmas and happy new year.-BradArchitect,NOT! Yes I'm using the Extended Tools config and I never noticed or paid attention to the polyline solid not showing up on the proper floor in plan. I now see what you're talking about as I somehow have been overlooking the "Primitives" parent tool icon. Thanks for waking me up, I was accessing the solids tools differently when I had the occaissional need to use them.-BB
