Polyline Solid draws on the wrong floor

I am not sure if there is any other posting on this? Why is it when you draw a cad rectangular polyline on the foundation floor in section view and it end up on the first floor? I know their is a work around using the polyline solid however this should be working correctly and be on the correct floor when using it.

I will re clarify what I mean. Draw in a first floor and foundation in plan. Cross section the plan and draw a polyline solid on the foundation wall floor convert it to whatever fill in the fill style to a color. Then go to plan view on the first floor and you will see the polyline solid on the first floor wall not the foundation. You have to copy it on the first floor and paste it back on to the foundation floor.Click image for larger version.

Annette, I went over this a couple of meetings ago. I'll call you and tell how to do this the first time around. No converting of anything involved.

    Ok Guys,

I am re clarifying it's the Cad Rectangular Polyline I am talking about. Go to cross section draw on the foundation a cad-rectangular- polyline, convert it over put it on its layer. Go to the first floor and it appears from the foundation floor. I know the polyline solid works its the cad-box- rectangular polyline.
I was just stating if it could be fixed? I know there are work arounds.

Annette, at the meeting I showed a MUCH easier way to do this using the right tool. It's not a workaround. I've found that many people do it the way you're doing it with the same problem. Using the right tool to start with solves all the problems in all views first time around. I'll call you in a few.

Tom, there is a Poly Line Solid Tool

It is not the same as converting a poly line into a poly line solid.

If it is not on your tool bar, it is Menu > Build > Primitive > Poly Line Solid

Dave, I'm not converting anything. That's just it. You don't want to go that route.

Read my answer again, my friend. Or, watch the vid I made for Annette, above. In short, I'm also trying to get them to use the proper tool.
