Chief Issues with Mac and Parallel Rendering

I am currenlty working with a builder that is having issues with rendering using parallel. The Mac Laptop has 6 Gig of memory and 1 Gig video.
Was wondering if anyone that has Mac Laptop and is currently working in x5 and has parallel if they had issues with rendering. Not sure if this has to do with how his hard drive is petition so it works on a PC side and Mac side. The rendering would go to a black screen and run slow. I don't think Chief likes parallel? I have no issues with Chief using my PC and runs great with renderings. If you do have a Mac and have not any issues please let me know how your system is set up.

I have heard others having issues with Parallels.
Bootcamp is the recommended way to go with a Mac.

I think Chief demands too much from the hardware to run it through Parallels on a mac. Running it through Bootcamp works fine for me.

I'm not sure what types of issues you are having with rendering. I have been using parallels with chief for many years without any problems. Rendering works beautifully. It's a bit slower than bootcamp but I haven't noticed any technical glitches at all. I have used macbook airs (HD graphics), macbook pros (dedicated graphics), imacs and mac pros.

Check how much video ram, and the number of processors that you are dedicating to the virtual machine. If it's too low, this may be the problem.

    Good luck.
