    Modern stair stringer

Is there a way to create a stringer similar to the one in the attached pic.
I just want 1 stringer along the outside and would like it to be 4" tube steel. We will weld L shaped brackets on it and carry our treads off them.

Closed Stringer in the Stair dbx. I'm not sure about sizing it and I think the material will be the same as the closed risers.

I would just insert a p-solid over the top of the stringers that Chief gives you. It will hide it.

Unfortunately it will not hide it as there is a limit to how small a stringer can be - an ongoing issue for me and just one of the limitations of the stair tool. We need to be able to specify whatever stringer size we need.

So the answer to this is to create a Symbol for each stair section - just like I do for Spiral Stairs - that you can place and stretch as needed.

You can bring the top of the stringer down but the bottom won't budge, also you can create a stair using, stringer at wall, but not create it against a wall, so no stringer. The only problem is it will give you a center stringer. Create a symbol from that , then add your own stringers and remove the center stringer from the symbol.
