    attic wall problem

    Hi all,

You can see in the pdf files that CA v10 has turned what should be an interior attic wall into an exterior wall, beats me why. The render view also shows other glitches, like the little partition that doesn't go to the ceiling, and dark horizontal shadows on other walls that I wish weren't there. What have I done wrong? Many thanks,

    Marc

Marc, if they're attic walls, then the roof has a part in this as well. Attic walls are only associated with roofs. It will be hard to tell what the problem is without seeing a plan.

Thanks Tommy. Here's the floor plan with and without roof framing. There is a sloped ceiling plane in there as well... I've put in two invisible walls so that I could set the exterior wall heights in the room specification dialogue. What do you think?

Marc, I see you posted the problem again. When I mean posting a plan I really don't mean a pdf of the plan but the actual Chief plan itself. I don't have V10 loaded anymore but could look at it in X1 on up. Many others here might not hav V10 either but will look at it with a later version. I'm pretty sure David Potter still has V10 on a computer.

Yes, I still have 9.5, 10 etc but that phenomena has not changed at all in Chief, you just make sure your room dialogs are set properly and then handle the attic walls however you want them handled as I mentioned in the other thread.

Ok, I fixed it. What fooled me was that I needed to set the room dialog for the closet, duh. Thanks gentlemen!
