Punch List Software

Has anyone had good success with integrating a punch list application/software with Chief? Any insight on which punch list programs to use or avoid would be appreciated.

I use a pen and paper. Tech support isn't very good, but its extremely versatile as well as affordable.

I would suggest that if you are now using Chief it would be best to avoid all Punch software.

Start from scratch and build what you need in Chief, take a bit of time to set up your materials library, your layer sets etc. Doing this will save you a great deal of time in the future.

Thanks for the info. I did mean "things to do" list. I'll check out the pen and paper one.

I use a free (donation ware which I eventually paid for) program called "stickies" . They are virtual post it notes- they can be configured to have check boxes AND you can "attach" a stickie to a specific file. When you open the file the stickie opens.
I only use it for short todos but might work for what you need. For longer lists the stickies can be "stored" for later retrieval, which I do by client.

If you use Gmail, or have a Google account and use the calendar, you can use Google Tasks, where you can have as many list as you want. We have a "Milestones" list where we put target milestones for all our projects, and individual project list for the items on our todo (Punch) list. Both calendars and Gmail will sync with your smart phone (we use androids), so you have your list wherever you are. Google accounts are free, and if you need more robust services, they offer Google Apps for Business.
BTW, there are several smart phone apps that can help you view, manage, and create your list.

I've been using Bluebeam Revu for 3 yrs, though not for punch. Love it- especially sequence tool to number cabinets, would love if Chief had something similar.
