New remodeling job on an English Tutor with wood shakes

Guys I have not yet figured out the distinction between the many templates we have to choose from in CA. But I want to draw an English Tutor with wood shakes roof and trim. I don' t want to create this style if it already exists in some form of a template. Anyone know which template applies here?? Are there visuals we can look at the make a choice with each template? Let me know Thanks for the help

You can check out Chief's sample plans and if you find one that meets some or most of your requirements, you could try going that route. I don't believe Chief has templates that will meet your needs. You are better off creating what you need in materials, wall types, etc. and going from there in my opinion.

[COLOR=#444d59]Yeah that is what I suspected. It looks like the templates have different trim configurations for the inside of the house but the outside is basically the same. I only looked at the wall configuration, maybe the exterior trim is different...Guess I'll have to configure my own..[/COLOR]

Perhaps for a future upgrade they could include a more detailed and comprehensive set of templates for different styles of building. For now I just make my own for the ones I need.

I find it best to create my own for such specialized circumstances.

I find that the English Tutors bleed profusely when nailing in the shakes. If you find one that drinks heavily then they will shake naturally during the morning hours.

English Tudors on the otherhand seem to handle getting shakes and/or shingles nailed to them quite well (Although a straw roof looks better, IMO)
