    roof planes (reposted)

I'm working on my first (Chief Architect) roof with fairly complicated lines. I chose to draw individual roof planes for more control over my design. I watched the video about finding the intersecting point of two different roof planes. It made it seem simple enough. Select the roof plane where to two roof lines will meet and than select, let's say the ridge of of another roof line. CA will place a cad point (X). Simply stretch the ridge line to the cad point. Sounds great, however when I do this I get no cad point (X).

I will attach my plan. Please don't judge - it's a work in progress! Definately learning as I go.

    Thanks,
    Amy

no need to start a new thread
you could have edited your first post in the other thread
or just added another post to that thread

I'm not a "roofer" so I'll pass on trying to solve your issue

The CAD points you speak of will not show unless ordered to show via Edit-Preferences - Architectural (see attached image), when checked they will then display, otherwise, no.

    David:

    thanks for the reminder

I thought I remembered that they used to be automatic
but then a prior upgrade (which ?) allowed them to be optional

I'm guessing the video Amy watched was an X1 video that hasn't been updated ???
