while not "required" or "mandatory" to finish a plan in the started version
it is "suggested" to avoid "hassles"

if a newer version is used then the plan should be reviewed for "bumps in the night"
and most likely with little-to-none cleanup it coud be "good to go"

bottom line - using a newer version would probably work fine
just don't assume everything is "peachy keen" until verified
