    it is my understanding that to get a 3D model in Chief you will need to "start over"

    tracing over the 2D from Revit or Autocad can be rather quick but from there you need to setup chief manually to get your 3D to look properly

    then and only then can you get a good export from chief for use in 3rd party products

    if the model is already built in Revit you should be able to export 3ds and vrml files
    for rendering in 3rd party software without needing to use Chief at all ???

    I could be wrong about this but that is my current understanding.....

    Chief does have a "Cad to Walls" tool but I haven't heard on anyone really having any success with it
