adjust newel height on deck rail?

The newel height and corresponding height field is grayed out. I would like to display a rail into newel deck rail. With X4. I am stuck here. Have a meeting with client in 15 minutes.

I must not be on the right track. I have no "rail styles" tab. the thumbnail you attached looks like my 10.3 version. with this X4 I must have a default st to eliminate this option. I can't find it. If this is a basic question feel free to rip on me,but this is frustrating me!

In X4, it's the railing tab.

Note that the key is to uncheck the "Post to Rail" option.
