Tile Pattern Changes from Horiz, to Vert. on Cabinet Sides?
Hi,
When I apply the floor tile to the tub cabinet, the tile changes pattern directions on one of the sides. Is there a way to control this?
Thank you.

Zowie,
Make a copy of the tile and change the angle to 90 or 0 whichever is the opposite of what you have and applyto the cabinet.Dennis Gavin CR, CKBR

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.

That did not work for me either. If I drew the p-solid in plan or elevation, it made no difference. In fact, I could not replicate this. It really ticks me off when people do not post a model of what they are questioning. Three answers and no conclusion, a waste of time.............. however it did get me thinking.
Now you can take the psolid, turn it into a "SOLID" vs a PSOLID, then you can EXPLODE that and put a different material on each face.
Zowie, post the frickin plan please, or at least the tub and base.D. Scott Hall (The Bridge Troll)

The colorful box is a SOLID "exploded" to get the different material on each face. Notice how the HEAVY grout lines run vertical on the vertical faces, and as far as the top goes, it is random. The point is, I believe the vertical faces use a CONSTANT material direction, whereas the top and bottom (horizontal surfaces) is whatever it is.

Can you create very narrow (shallow?) cabinet with the tile running the right direction and place that next to the orig cabinet?

That is weird, the wood grain does not change directions, but a tile pattern will........... why is that?

Yes it is indeed the cabinet that decides to switch directions. Not cool IMO. A decent workaround but still... Man how did I come up with such an ugly color?
