There was a prior thread about this. It seems to be related to the OS. Are you using XP?

If your issue is related to using Windows XP here is a bit of advice.

Do not be afraid of Windows 7, it is quite good. 32 bit or 64 bit.

Debra send me a PM and I'll walk you through the file renaming if you'd like. It does appear to be an XP only thing but they are working on a fix and Xp is still supported within X5.

X6 probably another story but for now, be patient and the tech guys will get it fixed.

I don't know if you're 'afraid' of upgrading your OS to Win 7, what your financial circumstances are, or even if you're running XP, but I do assume you know your business and will know when it's right for you to change your computer's OS.

In the meantime X5 runs fine on XP except for a couple of minor things.

BUT that will not keep Lew or Perry suggesting you must upgrade your OS to stay current or your business will crumble.

You will not like X5 on XP if you want to go into the future with Chief. Chief does not recomend it.
