How many of the buildings you draw get built with "invisible walls" that would block an actual camera placed in the building?
An Invisible Wall is just a tool in chief with no corresponding element in reality. Why would want to show it is an elevation?
PS. I just filed a ticket. I would recommend others do the same. They could make it an option, so Perry can show invisible walls in his plans.Kind Regards,

The wall elevations just show the room your in ,now and don't have to mask anything or show other rooms you don't want to. It use to show the entire wall weather it was in the room or not. Cross sections show everything. At least now you can clip those but its hard to adjust the the clip to get it perfect.

Oh boy, I detect a bit of sarcasm.............. but it is the truth. I am sure Perry knows how I do this. I have not used that camera in ages because I use GLASS SHOWER walls to define my walk in showers, and when I show an interior elevation of the BATH CABS, W.C. I also want to show the shower at the end.

Dave , I didn't put in an order for this but I like it. I also tend not to use invisible walls whenever I can. I do a lot of remodeling and use a background mask to show any existing walls. Sometimes I have no choice though.

That's what I want for my bathroom elevations as well, I just don't want to fuss with masking a cross section camera to get it.

Yes, I SB'd the change, which I don't like. My reasoning is the same as Dave's- invisible walls are an artifact of Chief's modeling logic and don't have a correlate in the real world.

I get it, but I have no choice, so I resort to masking, and it really only takes 10 seconds because I already have cameras and masks in place, it is just a matter of moving the left and right side of mask. After Zowie brought this up;, I thought about exploring the wall elev. camera again, but it will not work with the way we do showers so I am stuck with the mask.
It also gives me the flexibility when the wall elevation shows a high wall in an entry or stairs going up or down etc............ to complicated to fully explain, but I have found the mask to have its advantages.D. Scott Hall (The Bridge Troll)

I usually put those walls on another layer and turn off. During the preliminary stage, I don't show the wall vector standard elevations, I show crappy RT's. The final plan will show wall elevations but I don't get into detail with those because my plan then goes to the cabinet manf'r for final adjustments and they do all the goodies because they are the experts on custom cabinets.
Not sure what you are asking and not everyone does it my way but I like it, for me.Perry

In the Wall Elevation camera, even if you turn the layer for invisible walls off, they still show (block) the camera, that is the problem. If when the layer was turned off, they did not show, then great.
You could always use a NON-invisible wall type block the area behind it that you don't want in the view.
Just curious why you would want the invisible wall (when used) to block an elevation camera, that's all.Kind Regards,
