Sorry Herb, once again, no solutions, just more excuses. To top it off, the thread is being hijacked with nonsense and wasted time. Herb, in some cases it's not Chief's fault. So don't give up on it just yet. Sorry I can't help.

I had a quick look at the plan and the first thing I noticed is that there are 2 stairs superimposed on each other going up from level 1 and yes, the plan is generally pretty messy.

    Herb:

you should post your plan so others can check it out

The stair guru's say it is doable - let them have a go at it

My question was asked quite some time ago and the house has been built since without any drama over the stairs. I am not doubting that fact the Chief plan was off. I already admitted that. Why else does someone post a plan other than to ask for help. Why are you guys so stuck slapping each others backs and protecting each other on why you can't help someone - which isn't even for me anymore. It's for Herb now and at least my reply was to give advice or the lack thereof, not to beat a dead horse for the 100th time!

I'd be happy not to waste my time bantering back an forth over essentially nothing that has do with the subject matter. The time you say you don't have to help someone is being used to argue the same point. As I said before, just build your own model to prove your point. Which is that it can be done in Chief. I know it can be done in the real world because it was and I posted a picture to prove it. Stop using excuses on why you can't do it. I could care less - I'm on to the next project.

    Randy,

Read the previous posts before stating any one is helping. No one has helped Herb. I innocently reply to his need for help and I get a sharp unnecessary reply back from Perry who hasn't answered anything but with complaints. I am not the one asking for help.

I have never ever, over the years been rude and or condescending. My taking the time to correct and/or stand up for myself or others with rudeness is laughable. Have you seen many requests from me lately? "No" There is a reason. I have cautiously stayed away from the built up egos hiding behind internet anonymity until now.

    Brian:

see post #7 as to why no one was able to help you back then

then in post #16 you jump back claiming no one tried to help ???

ALWAYS assume "user error" until someone else can replicate your issue

    Lew,

Read the posts from today only. I could care less about my stuff. I was responding to Herb's request. I have 100% absolutely moved on from my original post. Please! forget about anything that has to do with my original post. I will go as far as to foretell the future and guess no one will accurately read even my request to move on.

I am not claiming anything but the facts. No one has been able to produce a set of steps like I have pictured using Chief. I am happy to say at least I can't and have moved on to bigger and better things!

Yusuf, What hardtalk, People have to realize everything in the model will effect other things. There is nothing more important than a clean model in Chief. With a clean model everything else will generate correctly. This is only a case about a messy model and me not wanting to spend a half a day going through all that mess to figure out the stairs, and Scott did videos on his problem. He really need to learn the program better, and get better models. The truth of the matter is he needs better skills in his plan. That's something I'm sure he can do if he wants.

    Yusuf:

I agree with Perry on this one

There are times when Perry and Scott engage in "hardtalk"
but in this case they are just pointing out "reality"
