    Garage curbs...

    Just a quick question....
Is the best way to do garage curbs...to use a large slab and the slab tool for the curbs? I'm going to draw and attached garage with a suspended slab and full basement below. I realize I will have to pull the garage foundation walls down and the framing up.

NO, just drop the garage floor and adjust the curb size, your suggestion was the old way of doing it. You don't really want to be pulling on walls

    Hey Perry,

Is that going to give me a slab on top of the foundation walls though? I am drawing a quick plan with your suggestion to see how it works out.

For now just turn on auto foundation and drop the garage slab and label the room garage, it should work for you if your defaults are set correctly.

I think Perry does auto slab, mine are manual, Perry's method works for him, mine works for me, I like mine. I will post a video when it is done. Tim, I am disappointed in you, I do not believe your have reviewed the MRLS, SAM and ANNO set videos...............

Scott, I just do auto slabs to a point, like in the design phase, then turn it off at some point just to get a start and save some time.

Perry, I see how lowering the slab works...still gotta play with it a bit to understand how it all works...

Scott, no way! Another video? Thanx a million...lemme look at it.

Yes I am looking at MRLS, SAM and ANNO set videos............... and now your foundation videos...too much information and too little time....actually I have a lot of time on my hands just can't absorb all this info as fast as I would like. Seems like this is all I do...besides eat and sleep.

Good, you must get to the point where you OWN the program. It is very forgiving. When you OWN it you can make it do back flips and triple flips with a twist thrown it. Give it time, study it, and you will OWN it.

I understand, and I have reevaluated whether it is more beneficial to have the auto slab on or to do it my way. I think both ways have their benefits. What I have concluded is I will give up the benefits of the auto foundation to maintain all my BOILER PLATE NOTES (which I believe I lose with auto slabs on) . I retain these notes by not having auto slabs on, simply a preference, there are benefits to both methods.

    Perry,

Scott doesn't like to use the Library. I think he was challenged by the "Dewey Decimal System" and thinks Chief's Library uses that system.
