My previous system had 4 GB memory, but only 512K graphics, so with 3x total memory and 4x graphics, I'm hoping for substantially better performance........

I'm not up on the latest CPU's and Video cards
but those specs seem very decent

use that PC as a reference baseline and check out a few other vendors
and then you will be sure you are getting good/best deal
