Cross Section/Elevation?

I'm on floor "0". In Cross Section/Elevation and I add a 3D molding line.
When I view in a Perspective Floor Overview, I see no molding in this view. The molding is in layer Molding and it is on in that layer set view.
When I go to floor "1" and view a Perspective Floor Overview. I can see the moldings floating on the level "0" below the floor overview all by them self.

What am I doing wrong?

Every 3-D object has a dialog box. In the case of molding poly lines there is a "Height" setting that may not be correct for your intended application.
In other words it could be "there" but too high or too low to be properly viewed, check that out.

There is also an inside setting that may have to be reversed.

and i think the cad default layer may be off in the out of the box camera settings? don't moldings go on the CAD default layer?

yeah, that's right, I must be thinking of moldings on cabinets.

The only way I can see the molding is to go to the floor above and I will see it floating below the floor. If I go to the floor below and it will not show. But it does show in a cross section/elevation cut right where it was created.

if you select it you can check the PLine Elevation and the height of each molding.

Probably the only way you're going to get this answered is to post the plan.

Sounds to me like it is a layer off issue for the camera view you can't see the molding in or your molding is living in the wall and not inside the room. If it is the latter, the quick fix is to check or uncheck the "inside" selection box in the molding dialog. If you are still unable to see it with anyone's suggestions, as Joe said, you'll have to post the plan.

I have posted the plan. The molding is not in any walls. It can be viewed in Perspective Full Overview and deleting surfaces to see the molding on the front of the low wall cabinet area but not seen on the floor overview.

Sorry, You have to close the Plan before you can Zip it. Your attachment is empty.

Looks like the foundation wall layer is not on (unless you are using normal walls for the foundation) and so the molding appears to be floating. I believe the layer for foundation walls is turned off in perspective floor overviews but not always in a perspective full overview. You might also try going to the plan view to make sure the molding is where you intend it to be.
