Foundation wall heights

I am a X2 user. I am sure that there is a simple answer, but it has me lost. I apparantly have turned something on or off and cannot figure it out. I have set my foundation defaults for basement. All is find untile I start adding walls, windows, doors to the basement plan. Then the heights change back to default heights for crawl space. I am sure that it is a simple fix, but it has be stopped until I get this corrected, Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure which version "fixed" it but when you lose room defintion
that area will revert back to the default(s)

it can be a real PITA

I think it was changed in X3 or X4 ???
now it reverts back to default(s) if you close the plan when room def is lost
