In the window DBX go to selct the "shape tab". This will give you left side and right side heights as well as a few other settings. Adjust those as needed and viola, triangle shaped window

Lots of combinations possible. If you have X4 and SSA, I suggest you watch some of the windows videos or go to ChiefTutor.com and see what D. Scott Hall has posted there as well.
You might also check out the Chief Architect website and navigate to the Help Database articles ... there may be information there that would be helpful to you as well.

Yes, I believe you could make triangular windows in v9, but you'll have to research that if v9 is what you are using.

Version 9? Doesn't version 9 pre-date computers? I am pretty sure the Garden of Eden was modeled with version 9.

Version 9 was very short lived. They came out with Version 9.5 shortly after which was actually a different program and not an update. It was free but you had to pay shipping for the CDs. There were some big program changes when Version 10 came out.

Kieren:
I just pulled my v9.0 Reference Manual out and it looks to me like you should be able to do just about everything in that version as we can in X4. There is a "Shape" tab in the Window Specification that has the same information that X4 does although the dbx looks a bit different. There is also an "Arch" tab that allows you to apply numerous shapes to the tops of windows depending on the arch type and the arch height and radius values you enter depending on which arch type you are using. With some arch types, you can use the "Reflect" option to duplicate a shape top and bottom (see the eyeballs in my example). I recommend you just get a test plan and experiment. Read through the windows section of the manual for specific information.
