2 story deck posts
I'm trying to raise the posts on the front deck of this house to meet the roof line, which is two stories above it.
Is there any good way to make these things meet the roof, and cut them all off at the proper height?Using Chief Architect X4

I use slabs but you can use solids and even soffits if you want to add moldings to it easily. You could also make custom columns if you want.

You can adjust any railing wall's newel post to any ht. in the DBX. but all of the post in that wall will have to be the same ht. I can not adjust individual posts under the gable end so you should do what tommy said and use p solids or slabs for those three posts.

I generally never use Chief's posts or beams. I do it all manually. That way I can get it exactly how I want it and makes it easier for me to do sections the way I want it.
