Double Walls & Electrical (X1)
Currently I'm updating a floor plan to include some finished areas in the basement. In order to do so, I'm using "double walls" to create a studded wall inside the foundation. Specifically, the exterior is a concrete (10") foundation wall, and in front of it is a standard (4") interior studded (and insulated) wall.
To create these parallel/touching walls, I've chosen the "double wall" designation for both. For the concrete wall I chose "split framing" and for the interior wall I chose "furred wall."
For some reason, everything inside the finished rooms (wall hangings, electrical fixtures, etc.) seems to "snap to" the exterior (concrete) foundation wall instead of the desired interior (studded) wall.
While I can move each item manually, I'm concerned about the accuracy of the placement (not to mention how long it will take to drag everything to its new location). So I'm wondering if anyone might have suggestions for setting things up so items "snap" automatically to the inside wall (and are more correctly placed).

Try setting your interior walls to "Furred".

Thank you for your response. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but the interior walls are already set to "furred."
I'm not sure if this will help with the diagnostic (or if it's a different problem altogether), but when I select the room, it seems to be dimensioning to the exterior walls (vs. the interior ones, which I'd prefer). Yet none of the interior walls walls appear to have any gaps (they're all properly connected), so I'm not sure why.

The plan I'm using is a bit large and messy to post, but I've created a very simplified one (attached) which duplicates the problems:
- The electrical fixtures are "snapping" to the exterior foundation wall instead of the interior (furred) one.
- The interior dimensions are being automatically calculated from the outer walls (vs. the interior ones), so it's providing an inaccurate room size.
Again, the walls are set up as follows:
- Both sets are "double walls"
- The exterior cement ones are "split framing"
- The interior studded ones are "furred walls"
- In the definition for the interior/studded/furred walls, "dimension to this line" is checked.

Change your exterior conc. wall to "Frame "Through"
