Truss*Layout
I*am*building*a*house*in*Chief*and*I*want*to*show* the*truss*layout*in*3D.*I*am*finding*some*jack*tru sses*won't*generate.*I*am*getting*a*message*expres sing*roof*plane*not*recognised.*How*do*get*a*full* 3D*truss*layout?

you need a roof plane and a ceiling plane
within this "envelope" is where the trusses are built
beyond that I don't know much about trusses

Drake, I've found that as you get to the lower end of a hip the jacks won't draw in. I think this is because there is no ceiling plane only the roof plane and sofit. Just draw the short ones in using "rafter" instead of a truss.
