I think I can do those just using Chief but the seat itself might be a little difficult. Can you post the dwgs with dims?

    Hi Joseph

Unfortunately all I have is a pdf with the dimensions, nothing in CAD at all, not for want of asking. I'm finding that many furniture designers don't release their CAD drawings as they're a bit worried about copyright issues, hence having to do it myself. I can post the pdf if that helps...

    Cleocat:

    Interesting....

actually the act of publishing a design helps "lock-in" the copyright

there was a recent thread about copyright issues
so any additional comments about copyrights so be posted there
as we don't want to hijack this thread

    http://www.chieftalk.com/showthread....ight=copyright

once created the copyright is automatic
if violated one only need send a "cease and desist" letter

if the copyright is registered then damages can be sought

I think there must be another reason they are not providing the cad files

    Cleo,

A PDF would be fine. I just need to see if the Truncated Cylinders are vertical or angled back and what the height and diameters are.

    Joe

Thank you for offering to help - Chiefer has managed to create it in the meantime, but I can still send over the pdf if you wanted to have a go - I only wish I was advanced enough to do it myself! :-D

    Many thanks
