or try ctrl-c then click the paste-hold-postion icon
if the paste-hold-postion icon is not on your toolbar (it should be)
then try:
MENU - EDIT - PASTE - HOLD POSITION
I suspect CTRL-ALT-V is PASTE-HOLD POSITION
