V 10.08a FULL VERSION

Greetings,
I am hoping some of you pro's can help me. I am using CA 10.08 Full Version. I use the program to draw HVAC systems in CAD mode, after drawing the floor plan. In cad mod, I have always held down the shift key and left mouse button to drag a window over cad objects I want to select to make them a CAD Block. In the past it has always worked flawlessly. Now all of a sudden, it will only allow small cad blocks.

In other words, I have drawn the duct for one side of a duplex and I want to drag over the duct layout (cad objects), make it a cad block, reflect it and lay it on the other side for the other side of the duplex. But the program will only allow me the select a portion of the drawing to create the cad block. Its almost like it will allow small cad block but not the entire floor plan of only 16'x40'.

What am I doing wrong? I have done it right with no problems for years. But now the rules seem to have changed.
