What Glen suggests is fine as far as it goes but Tech Support for X1 costs $$$.
It sounds to me like you have X1 installed within Windows 7, my X1 acts in a similar manner on my PC that usess Windows 7 Ultimate.
It runs better on my Windows XP x 32 partition I have set up to run Versions 9, and 10 as well.
Without knowing anything about your PC or its operating system, all any of us can do is to guess.
What sort of PC and OS do you have?
