This is what I'm refering to (attached).
I used acopy of the roof planes, extended them the 1", copied them in a separate plan, made a symbol, brought it in and put it in place. You can imagine the work on a complicated roof.
Wouldn't just be so much easier to say "ADD DRIP STRIP"?
Sorry bout the rant...lolLast edited by cadstudio; 09-19-2011 at 11:22 AM.

Similar to roof caps, Joe Carrick is working on it. No easy way to do it. If I wanted that look , I would do it with the fascia and sub-fascia. The fascia being the flashing.

I came up with one idea to do this, I wouldn't say it's simple, but it should work in X2 (X4 here)
create a couple of moldings to represent one for the roofing and one for the drip edge
build all your roof with gutters, move to all off layer set with just gutters turned on, shift select all, open, molding tab, add new, add the roofing mold, add the drip edge mold (at desired height), go to the material tab apply roof to the roofing mold, add (metal?) to the drip mold.
Like I said,, not simple,

Ray,
I'm having a problem in X2. I can't get those moldings to go into the library once I parallel shift them at the desired pitch. As long as they're horizontal its OK. BUt as soon as I parallel shift to say 8:12 pitch they are not going into the library. What's up with that?

you'd better take a look at the help file for creating molding profiles,,, I kind of remember something about the furthest line to the left (on screen ) has to be vertical or something to that effect. Your creating two separate profiles, yes?
Closed polyline, yes?
