OMG! My X-4 will not open
I click the icon to open, it looks like it will, screen flashes for a fraction of a second then nothing.
Anyone ever experience this before?

Not with Chief but with other programs. First thing I always do is shut down the computer for a few minutes and then start it up and try again (with fingers crossed!).

Thanks y'all, I have done all that.
As a matter of fact I recently re-installed Windows 7 and X-4. Was running fine today then about 2 hours ago I find that it just will not show a screen.
It just flashes a brief screen then nothing.
Weirdest thing I have seen on this computer yet.
I have subsequently re-installed Chief and...nothing.
Andy.

Uh Oh, yeah, I am in the process of getting my mac laptop ready for the UGM and I cannot open CA on it. I thought it was the problem with the mac but maybe something else is going on. I will now go check out the PC to see if there are problems there..... this might not be good.

i am still at the office. it is my home pc not working. i dont go home for an hour and half. its 3:50pm monday here.
but i do not like my chances of it working tonight.
Were you guys running the betta still on your machines that are not working? or had you updated?
i think my computer that is not working had not been updated which is why i thought maybe trial period ran out and screwed it up without a message...
but i did not need to use X4 at office today so I did not use emergency transfer.Last edited by killa; 08-28-2011 at 10:01 PM.

The PC at the office is working (I had to log back in). The Mac at home did fire up earlier today just fine, but now it won't. I am using the latest non beta programs on both computers. My guess is that somehow something may be screwed up in Idaho that will not let us log onto the second machine.

Hi Scott, I am running the latest too, not beta.
Works on the lap-top now but I am afraid to close it down.
I had to use an emergency transfer on the lap-top.
This *****.

An idea to try if yu can not get it to work in time.
If you will have access to internet, you could try connecting to the PC remotely from the laptop and using chief that way. Don't know if this will be quick enough but I am going to try it tonight.
Just thought I would put the idea out there in case it helpsTrent
