    Break ramp

I have a ramp which has a handrail to the highest half and no handrail to the lower half. It seems my options are to have all handrail or no handrail. I thought I might be able to place a break point but otherwise I will need two ramps which would require a landing of some sort which is getting very complex for something very simple.

    Marty,

    Draw your ramp.
Turn off the Railing On settings (Ramp Specification dbx...Newels/Balusters tab).

Draw a railing wall along the side of the ramp (on top of the ramp).
It will default to under the ramp so you can't see.
But... select the ramp and tab to select the rail.
Open it's dbx and on the Railing tab, check Follow Stairs.
The rail will now build on top of the ramp and follow the slope.
You can make the rail as long or short as you want.

    Excellent is not the word!!
Many thanks Glenn - that "follow stair" box had avoided my attention until now - I am sure it will get a lot of use.
