    Importing .dwg problem

    Hi all,

    I just tried to import a .dwg file, which works most of the time, but tried to do one a minute ago that came up as "invalid DWG version".

    I am guessing the source of the drawing is a new Cad program, so was wondering which versions of Autocad are supported by Chief 11.5?

    If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

    Regards

    Scott;

    check under MENU - FILE - EXPORT what versions of Autocad Chief X1 can handle

    try to get the source of the file to re-send as a version you can use or try Accutrans to convert the file to a version you can use

    Autodesk has a free CAD viewer as well.

    You can open up any version .dwg or .dxf file and save them as older releases.

    What type of .dwg were you trying to import? A plan, survey or symbol etc.?
