    Inserting a backsplash in kitchen

    Hi,

I'm trying to put a backsplash between the base and upper cabinets in my kitchen. It has a backsplash area in the "open object" page, but when I put in the height in inches it immediately goes away. I also want to put a backsplash over the stove. I'm using the Home Designer Suite 8.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Judy

    I figured it out!

I was reading through some posts and saw that I needed to into my defaults settings and put the height of the backsplash I wanted. After I did that, I was able to pick a backsplash and it didn't revert back to zero. Yay!!

Try it with the wall cabinet above dbx. There is a backsplash to base cab below box.

Perry, she's using Pro 8 and might not have this option. Judy, you need to say what version you're using or put it in your signature. BTW, I sent you a reminder that we're having a meeting on Monday.

    Tommy:

Judy stated she was using Hd suite 8 in her first post

suite 8 is based on Chief X1

Suite is fairly limited in relation to HD PRO (or Chief)

    Judy:

while HD users are welcome to participate in Chieftalk you should also check out the Hometalk forum which aimed at users of the HD products

monitoring Chieftalk can help with your learning experience with the caveat that many of the tools won't be available to you due to Suite being a much lessor product and that Chief is now on ver X3 and soon to be on X4

suite 8 can import .SKP files so you can benefit from any that are posted on chieftalk
