Thank you for the primer Gerry. If you have time would you mind doing a video showing how to create an area macro for a closed pline.

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.
We can please some of the people some of the time, but we can't please all the people all of the time..... but I will keep trying.

Gerry, I made a quick 3 minute video describing a macro that I would like to create. I was hoping you could find time to watch the video to understand what I am looking for and then if you would not mind making a video detailing how this could be done, thanks.

Scott
Made an "attempt" Let me know if you need something else. Forgot to mention in the video that the order of creation of macros is important. if the "total" executes before the rooms, obviously total will be wrong.

Glad to help.
When you get finished with your project, perhaps a few video's on Chief Tutor might help the rest. I'm sure you can be more elegant then me.
Also, trying my best to generate support for extending Ruby, but getting a decidedly "its good enough" feedback. A few comments to suggestions@chiefarchitect.com might help.Gerry

I bumped the resolution at You Tube to HD and it was very clear and easy to follow (I just watched the first one last night, it put me right to sleep - just kidding).
This feature is something I have just skipped as being "too geeky" for me anyway. Now that you have decided to help I will watch the other videos you and others have done. Unlike Lew Buttery I do not have a background in scripting and programming, I find Quantum Physics easier to understand as a comparison (too many misunderstood or misdefined words and acronyms presently for me).
So, thank you for your efforts, If I can lean to use these tools, I would assume anyone then could.

David, I love Quantum Physics. If they can just get the large and the small with a united theory, thats it, we know everything.
Yes, we need to use Ruby to the fullest possible, very powerful but just don't have the time to learn. Please add some more pre-figured macros for us less cranially endowed people.Perry
