"Do you want to manage these files?"
OK so I've been ignoring this message for a while now when I hit save-I just say NO, what is the right thing to do when you say yes and see all the files? How and why would I need to manage them?
ThanksSal Genovese A.I.A.

Hi Sal,
The reason for this warning is to let you know that Chief might be saving so many files that it might be filling up your hard drive. If you don't have storage problems, you could just ignore it. It's more of just a courtesy warning.Allen Brown

You can control the settings for the archiving in Preferences
there is an archieve limit setting and once it is reached you will get the warnings and are expected but not required to delete some of the older archived files
I don't use Chief's archieve system as I prefer to use "save as" and give the files my own naming system and to control better when saves occur
which files and how many files you delete is up to you
its usually better to err on the side of caution and keep as many as you feel comfortable with until the end of the project
I put date and time info in my files names and tend to keep "everything" until the end of the project
making backups to another drive and storing that drive in another house is a good idea also
