Railing in arched doorway
I have used a doorway to create an arched entry in a wall on a second story floor. This allows one to look down into an open area below. I need to put a railing into this opening but have been unable to get this to work. When I tried it, either nothing happens or the arched opening disappears. Any suggestions?

The best way I know of to do that is:
1. create a standard wall and put an arched doorway in it.
2. draw a railing wall a couple feet away from the door but parallel to it. The wall should be about six inches longer than the arched opening on each side.
3. select the railing wall but use the alternate micro-move handles to move it directly over the doorway.
As long as the railing thickness is less than the wall thickness this should look good in 3-D.
Or is that already what you tried?
