underground room roof
trying to build a "roof" for an underground room which will also be a walkout deck from the upper level. so it will be a concrete slab on metal pan.
I tried 0 pitch roof but thickness of roof still shows with gutter, etc. is there a good way to get this detailed right from the beginning?James Pader

Make the Deck a Balcony Room - you can use 0 height railings as the "walls" defining the Balcony Room. This will then look like a flat roof.

let me be more clear: I want the roof, ceiling and deck to be the same thing. so the ceiling will be the metal pan. roof and deck will be concrete slab.
the door in the pic needs to open onto this deckJames Pader

Basically, a low solid railing wall will create a parapet wall. If you don't want a parapet wall around the balcony room then define the room height as 0.00
The reason for defining the space as a Balcony is so that it will create a floor structure that has plywood sheathing instead of "Deck Boards" and "Deck Framing".
