Funky Attic Walls, still don't really understand them....

Hi all,
I seem to have this problem often. When I click or highlight my gable attic walls in 3d, they look like a bow tie at the bottom. essentially instead of being a nice triangle, they don't look good.

I also get a gap where the gable meets the roof. I'm not sure why that happens.

I attached the plan, it's not complete, infact there's no logic to how these roofs are to be supported, I'm working with a contractor who is conceptualizing.

What happens when a gable gets this way is that the attic windows become hard to place and often will show up on the second floor plan.

You'll probably notice that I still haven't figured out why that balcony floor is showing through the wall--don't get that either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
