9.5 is an ancient version of Chief in software years. I think I started doing development on a 64 bit version of XP during version 10. If my memory serves 9.5 may not install on 64 bit due to hardware lock driver issues. It may be possible to work around the installation issues by copying the install from another computer. Your pretty much on your own on that though as it was not a supported operating system for 9.5 or any version of Chief.

Upgrading is something that you really should consider.

First, the latest versions of Chief fully support Vista and Windows 7 and run best on the latest operating systems.

They run faster on the latest hardware and support multiple core systems.

They support the newer graphics hardware.

There are hundreds of new features.

If you want to run 9.5 your best bet is to install it on a 32 bit version of XP. We normally don't talk about the 64 bit version of XP because most people don't even know it exists and very few people have ever used it.

    Sorry about any confusion.
