Walls will not align in X2
I must have messed with a setting... I'm using X2 and for some reason, for the past couple of months, when I go to move a wall, it will not snap to be in line with an adjacent wall. Especially aggrevating when drawing in interior walls to be perpendicular to exterior walls. I have to use the dimension tool to get them to line up. I use to not have to do this, so can someone tell me what preference, check box that I may have unchecked. I have turned grid snapping on/off...didn't help. I have also turned snap to object on and off...didn't help.
I would really appreciate it as it is driving me insane and taking lots more time to move things around when they don't line up.
Thank you,Last edited by tchomes; 12-13-2010 at 04:00 AM.

The videos we watch are not 100% gold, but if we find a gold nugget, the time spent viewing has a value.

I prefer to have most snaps off until I need them
I keep object, angle and bump/push on
Just my preference....

I agree with Lew on this. I don't have any snap turned on unless I need it. If you don't see your snaps in a toolbar, right click on a top toolbar and select "extended toolbar configuration". Now you'll see them and other helpful tools. When drawing walls, in general, always be sure you do have the On angle snap turned on so that you will draw with the allowed angles only. Be sure the behavior setting is set to default. If you're not drawing based on snap grids, then turn off snap grids too. Be sure the main layer for the walls are set to outside of framing (it should be like that by default though).
If nun of this helps, feel free to call me if you like.Tommy Blair
