Rafters with Rafter Tails For pavillion

Interesting Comments. And yes you can email me (fvbs2010@live.com) the Rafters you have in your library. I am always looking for options and second opinions.

When I was creating the pergolla I wanted to use the framing tools within Chief as much as possible so if I wanted to I could get a list of materials used in the plan. So you first suggestion was exactly what I was looking for. Once I created one rafter the hard work is done, I copied it like you said.

If I use polylines instead of rafters will Chief know to add these to the material list. I am assuming Chief won't know what materials they really are if I just use a polyline and I don't define the material as framing members. Am I wrong about this?

See my attached file to see how it came out. The only problem I have with the attached file is there is too much blue in the Raytrace. I am going to post a string to see if I can get some help with the color scheme Raytrace is using.
