    Dimension point markers x3

I opened up a plan this morning and all of a sudden I have point markers on about a third of my dimensions. What gives? Does anyone know why they show up? Where is the dbx that turns them on or off?. I can't seem to find one, but there must be one somewhere because I didn't have any earlier on this plan. What a P.I.T.A.!

    Hi Larry
If a window or something gets deleted, that dimension string can get points.
I don't like it to much, but at least we can see the points to fix it..

Someone might have a better fix..

    Lew--No they aren't turned on

Doug--X3. CA should have a way to turn these off if not needed. I can see Allen's point if something gets deleted and you want to put it back, but then you should be able to turn it off.

Yes, I have been getting some point markers for some reason also. Not always just sometimes.

Same here and no way to multi-select or default the marker to smaller size.

Point markers get dropped when the item being referenced by a dimension mark disappears in certain ways. The idea is to preserve the dimension rather than have it disappear unexpectedly.

Deleting a window or any item should delete the dimension marks that reference it.

Copying and pasting dimensions will place point markers if the object being dimensioned isn't copied with the dimension.

If this doesn't work the steps to reproduce it should be sent to support so we can get it in out database to fix.

If you don't want to see the point marker you can put it on a layer that you turn off.

I have been getting (very occasionally) point markers in floor plan for windows. usually only 1 or 2 on a plan, not sure why, I just delete them and redim. Just 1 more of the many inconsistency's of X3
