    Reflect CAD Blocks X3

in X2 i used to be able to use Transform/Replicate to flip my CAD block pitch labels left to right. When i perform the same action in X3 the numbers in the block are misaligned.

I've tried re-drawing all my pitch labels from scratch in X3 thinking maybe there was some issue using my old X2 blocks in X3 but it does the same thing.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something different i could be doing to avoid it? So far i've just be exploding the blocks after i flip them and that re-aligns the text but i dont want to do that everytime. The long way around would be to create a whole other set of labels for the reverse sides of the roof, but i dont want to do that either!

Also, i checked to make sure my text option included "auto height" and "auto width" checked. So that doesnt seem to be the issue.

    Matt,
Is your text also center justified?
    Just a thought.

I've also had this problem, but in X2. I think it is affected by text, allignment, etc. . . I just unblock, and reblock and it's good. annoying, but it does straighten them.. Set up hotkeys for each function and it's faster. Or maybe we could figure out which justification was causing it, and we wouldn't have to do that . . why is it to easy just to work around and not take the time to fix....

The vertical alignment should not be affected by the reflection. Please contact support on things like this when you see them. At one point in time I spent a lot of time making this work correctly and am somewhat annoyed that it appears not to be working now.

I am sending it in now. Turns out that blocks created using text, not rich text, move around.

I was playing w/ this this morning & couldn't reproduce it. So,I'll be keeping an eye on this also.
I'm not getting this behavior at all, regardless of plain or rich text, X2 (& earlier) CAD blocks brought into X3, or all X3...justification doesn't matter either.
I'm suspicious of the font. I tested 2 fonts, Arial & Country Blueprint.

Are you guys using the mirror function or the transform replicate function? Is there a difference in the end result?

I use Transform/Replicate to reverse my block, the vertical line i drew in my initial post was just a seperator, just to be clear, i'm using transform/replicate and getting the misalignment.

I as well used the transform/replicate function. Copy original BLOCK (make sure that you aren't just group selecting items - - block them first, then reflect ) The text used in my sample was Chief Blueprindt.

    Tundara,

I opened your plan & sure enough, I got the same thing.

I think it's the top/bottom margin settings. When I selected the block, I noticed the red outline of the text boxes didn't change, but the text moved to the top of that red text box. When I zeroed out the top/bottom margins, it copied/reflected as it should.

My top/bot margins are zero by default.

Funny, I had looked there during my tests to see if something was amiss, but assumed since the margins were equal that this would not affect it. When I set mine to zero, it worked correctly for me as well. So it is the relationship between the plain texting and the margins. I will have to correct my default settings, . . that's for sure.
