    How to import DWG files

    Need help. I am using 12.4.0.23 and can't import DWG files.

    you should upgrade to 12.6, it's free

    may not be your problem but ???

    what version of dwg?? if they are from 2010 I don't think X2 will open them.And X3 is only compatible with up to 2010 so will not open 2011 dwg's

    You can send the dwg to one of us that has X3 and we can down-save-it-as an earlier version of AutoCAD or perhaps the person you got the dwg from can send you a save-as version in a dwg that is compatible with your X2 (like Lew said the update patch is vital for you to download and install in any event).

    Thanks, but it is strange, because on my second computer with the same CA version I can import the file...
