Cad polyline turned upright - How to?

I drew an arch, turned it into a polyline solid and it is now laying flat on the ground. I know how to lift it off the ground, but can I rotate the arc up so that it is standing on it two ends (flip it up?). This would make like an arch to walk under. Note: I have lifted the arch off the ground 12".

    Thanks for any help,

    Andrew

Draw the arch in elevation instead of plan. If you want to rotate what you have already created I believe you must turn it into a symbol and then rotate. I do not believe you can rotate a psoid in the "z" axis but somebody may correct me on this

Yes, you can redraw something in elevation, but you don't have to. I often run into this when doing letters in sketchup. When I create 3D letters in Sketchup, and import them, they come in "laying down". When you have a symbol, you can click the "Open Symbol" tool, (not the "Open" tool) and click on the Rotate section in either x, y, or z directions, and specify any degrees.
